Calvary Chapel of Pittsburgh is priviledged to be involved in continuing Jesus' ministry to the world. In the synagogue of Nazareth, Jesus said that He was the fulfillment of Isaiah 61: "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the LORD has annointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD...".On this page you'll find testimonies and pictures about our involvement in Jesus' work in other parts of the world. Please pray for those who are involved in these ministries. Russia (Beslan)- 2007 Jason returned to Beslan April 26 and Lord willing he will be ministering there until late November. Please pray for him and for the people of Beslan and all Ossetia.
Russia (Beslan)- 2006 Jason returned to Russia in late August in order to be with the people of Beslan during the 2 year anniversary of the massacre. He'll be ministering there until late November. His reports are below and the music from his CD will soon be available for down load here.
Russia (Beslan)- 2005/2006 The small Ossetian city of Beslan gained worlwide attention in September of 2004 when Chechnyan terrorists took over the local school and held hostages for three days. In the end, over three hundred people were dead, about half of them school children. Through God's miraculous provision, Jason Catizone was able to obtain a visa and has been ministering to the brokenhearted in Beslan. Below are his reports.
Latvia Latvia is an independent country that was once part of the Soviet Union. The port city of Liepaja is located on the Baltic Sea and once housed a large Soviet naval base. We have been priveledged to work in bringing the gospel to Latvia since 2003. In 2005, we sensed the Lord directing us not to return that year but to prepare for even more ministry there in 2006. Please pray for our two-phased mission there this year in May and July. Israel In November of 2004, a small team from Calvary Chapel of Pittsburgh spent 10 days in Israel, helping the ministry at Calvary Chapel of Jerusalem and then traveling to northern Galilee. Little did we realize that the Lord was speaking to one of the members of our team, Jason Catizone, to return to Israel for more long term ministry. Below are his reports from Israel.
Pictures from Israel and Beslan New York City Mission In 2003, several people from Calvary Chapel of Pittsburgh joined with a team from Calvary Chapel of Fredricktown for a weekend of ministry in New York City. |
