Sunday School In Scripture we see that it is possible to know God's word, and yet not know Him. Saul is the clearest example that comes to mind. The seeds were there, but it was not until they were watered by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that he began to bear fruit and became the Apostle Paul. His knowledge of scripture was incredible, yet while sighted he could not see. In his physical blindness he turned to Jesus and the veil was removed. (1 Cor 12:3) It is in the knowledge of our total dependence on the Spirit of the Living God that we prayerfully approach the teaching of God's holy word to our children. We seek always His leading and illumination for ourselves and the kids. Our goal is to raise up children who not only have a solid knowledge of the entire counsel of God's word, but but who are also filled with the Holy Spirit, and have a hunger, thirst, and LOVE for the Logos though whom all things were made. GROUPS: Ages and grade levels for each group are recommended, but children may move up early or stay longer in a level based on individual needs and abilities. Curriculum and activities are designed to be age appropriate for each level. Pre-School — Young children
ages 2-5 Children are dismissed to Sunday School following worship and announcements. Dismissal from classes coincides with the end of services. (Parents of small children are asked to pick up children at classroom immediately following services.) West End Food Bank We support the West End Food Bank with donations of any staple food items, paper products, laundry or personal soap or monetary donations. Checks can be made out to Calvary Chapel, marked for the Food Bank and placed in the agape box in the back of the sanctuary. There is also a blue bin in the back of the sanctuary for collection of the items listed above.
